GAROWE – The Director General of the Ministry of Finance of the Puntland Government Hon. Ahmed Abdirizak Dirie chaired the meeting on Thursday to improve the work of the Ministry of Finance.
The DG took the opportunity to listen presentation from Departments, as as brief his colleague on a number of issues including what was achieved, challenges and the way forward.
The main agenda of the meeting was focused on revenue generation and staff capacity building ,discussed local and international taxes, increasing fishing licensee fees and other inland revenue taxes. the Ministry’s personnel file, the HR system.Â
They also Discussed the 2024 fiscal year Budget which is being prepared this year in a modern way based in in compliance with national and international laws andÂ
The director of the Ministry presented the company with information on the work done, the progress made and the correction of the challenges that need to be solved.
